Welcome to myblockchainweek.com ("Website"). These General Terms and Conditions ("T&C") govern your use and registration of the Website, attending and participating in MY Blockchain Week event as a whole.

By accessing or using this Website, or by attending and participating in MY Blockchain Week event, you acknowledge that you have read and fully understood these T&C in prior and it constitutes your unconditional acceptance of these T&C as may be amended by MY Blockchain Week from time to time as we deem fit.

Any person that you allow to access the Website or attend the event using your account shall also be bound by these General Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these T&C please do not use this Website or participate in the event.

T&C Pertaining to Website Usage

User Registration

Some features of the Website may require user registration. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and to update your information to ensure its accuracy.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of the Website.

T&C Pertaining to Attending or Participating in MY Blockchain Week Event

Payment Instruction

Full payment must be made at the time of ticket purchase. Payment can be made by credit or debit card, or on chain crypto payment. Please note that your registration for the event will not be considered complete until payment is received. In the case where the payment gateway is not functioning properly, we reserve the right to forfeit the ticket and mark it as an unsuccessful purchase where the user will be required to re-purchase the ticket. All successful payments and registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Valid Ticket

You must produce a valid online ticket to redeem for a physical NFC tag to gain access to the event and you must keep possession of such NFC tag at all times during the event. Your NFC tag may be invalidated if any part of it is removed, altered or defaced. MY Blockchain Week will not be responsible for any NFC tag that is lost, stolen or destroyed. You must wear the NFC tag at all times in order to gain access to these areas. Lost or forgotten NFC tags will not be reissued.

Event

The event agenda and timetable that we publish on the Website is subject to change without prior notice. We do not guarantee the attendance of any exhibitor or speaker, or that any scheduled event will take place, particularly in the event of Force Majeure.

Force Majeure

Force Majeure means any cause beyond MY Blockchain Week or the Venues’ control including, without limitation, act of God, war, insurrection, riot, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic and/or pandemic, national mourning, theft of essential equipment, malicious damage, strike, lock out, weather, third party injunction, national defense requirements, acts or regulations of national or local governments, or outbreak of any disease. MY Blockchain Week will not be liable or reimburse to you for failure to perform any obligation under the Conditions to the extent that the failure is caused by Force Majeure.

Ticket Price

MY Blockchain Week reserves the right to alter the price of any ticket at its sole discretion. If you have already purchased a ticket to the event and a cheaper ticket becomes available, MY Blockchain Week will be under no obligation to refund any portion of the ticket purchased at the initial price.

Third Party Content

MY Blockchain may create content using third-parties, including exhibitors and speakers, or any incidents available at the event (“Third Party Content”). The provision of such Third Party Content is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute a recommendation or solicitation to purchase or sell any product or service. In addition, Third Party Content is not intended to provide any tax, legal or financial advice.

Event Conduct

MY Blockchain Week reserves the right to refuse you entry to and/or eject you from the event and/or Venue (and may take appropriate action to enforce this right) in reasonable circumstances including without limitation:

  1. for health and safety or licensing reasons,
  2. if you behave in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the event,
  3. if you use or display threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms or behave in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace,
  4. if, in our reasonable opinion, you appear to be acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
  5. if You refuse to comply with MY Blockchain Week or the venue’s security searches,
  6. if you breach these Terms, or
  7. if your ticket is void.

No refunds will be given to you if you are refused entry or ejected due to your own behavior.

Security and Property

We reserve the right to conduct security searches and confiscate any item which in the opinion of ours may cause danger or disruption to other persons at the event or is one of the items not permitted in the venue as listed in the conditions (including those items listed in these Conditions). You shall not bring all or any of the following into the venue:

  1. smoking materials,
  2. laser pens,
  3. animals,
  4. any item which may be interpreted as a weapon (including sharp or pointed objects such as knives), or
  5. illegal substances.

Notwithstanding anything else in the conditions, we shall not be liable for any loss, theft or damage to confiscated items.

Recordings and Photography

You acknowledge and agree that the event is a public event, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are public in nature, and that you therefore have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the event.

By attending the event, you irrevocably grant MY Blockchain Week the right to interview, record, photograph, visually identify, or otherwise use, reproduce and edit your voice, appearance, likeness, photograph, name and/or biography, in any audio recording, video recording, or still photography (collectively “Appearance and Recording”). You also irrevocably grant MY Blockchain Week the right to exhibit, distribute, transmit and/or otherwise exploit your Appearance and Recording for any advertising, marketing, promotional, publicity, or other purpose that MY Blockchain Week may see fit, without having to first obtain your consent or approval.

Third Party Special Events / Side Events

Please review the rules set out by each individual event.

Assumption of Risk and Liability

You understand that participation in the event is voluntary and carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. You hereby agree to indemnify, release and hold harmless of MY Blockchain Week, its officers, directors, employees, vendors, partners, agents and contractors from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages and losses of any kind, including attorneys fees, which arise out of or result from your attendance at and participation in the event and ancillary activities, including but not limited to property damage and personal injuries, illness, death or other physical loss, whether or not foreseeable.

General T&C

Limitation of Liability

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL MY BLOCKCHAIN WEEK, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ANY PERSON OR COMPANY RELATED TO THE EVENT (COLLECTIVELY, THE “EVENT PROVIDERS”) BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS OR OTHER INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES FOR ANY OF THEIR ACTS OR OMISSIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT, WHETHER OR NOT SUCH EVENT PROVIDER HAS BEEN APPRISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS.

IN NO EVENT WILL THE EVENT PROVIDERS’ LIABILITY HEREUNDER, OR OTHERWISE IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT, EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID TO IT BY YOU. THE EVENT PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ERRORS IN ANY LISTING OR DESCRIPTIONS OR CONTENT. THE EVENT PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, HARM OR INJURY TO THE PERSON, PROPERTY, OR BUSINESS OF YOU, OR ANY UNAVAILABILITY OF THE ONLINE ENVIRONMENT, THE EVENT, ACCIDENT, OR ANY OTHER REASON IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Website at our discretion, without notice, for any violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Website. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arises out of MY Blockchain Week, both parties shall use reasonable endeavors to consult or negotiate in good faith and attempt to reach a just and equitable settlement satisfactory to both parties. If both parties are unable to settle any dispute by negotiation within 21 days, the parties may attempt to settle it by Arbitration.
